General Information

What age can my child start at the academy?

Children can join from age 10 upwards. We group sessions by age and ability to ensure everyone feels confident and supported.

Can girls join the academy?

Yes! Our academy welcomes both boys and girls. We are fully inclusive and encourage all young people to get involved, build skills, and grow in confidence.

Does my child need previous boxing experience?

No experience is required! Our program is designed for complete beginners through to advanced young boxers.

Is the academy safe?

Absolutely. All coaches are DBS-checked, qualified, and trained in safeguarding and first aid. Safety gear is used appropriately and our sessions are designed to build skills before contact is introduced.

Other Information

Do you offer competitive boxing?

Yes. Once children have developed the necessary skills, they may be invited to become carded and enter competitions. We’ll discuss this with you when your child is ready.

Can I stay and watch?

Yes – especially for younger children. However, we may occasionally ask parents to watch from the viewing area to encourage independence and focus.

What happens if my child misses a session?

We understand that things come up. If you let us know in advance, we’ll try to offer catch-up options where possible.
